Sunbird Organic Rooibos Tea Refill for Tin Matzikama is a premium, single-origin rooibos celebrated for its malty aroma and caramel flavours. Sourced from the Matzikama Mountains—meaning "place of sweet water"—this tea reflects the unique terroir of the region, where high-altitude plateaus and abundant spring waterfalls contribute to its distinctive taste. The tea is naturally caffeine-free, rich in antioxidants, and certified organic, making it a healthy choice for any time of day. Packaged in compostable tea bags within a recyclable tin, it aligns with sustainable practices.

Ingredients:

Organically grown Rooibos tea (100%).

Brewing Instructions:

Put one bag per cup in a stove-top kettle and boil vigorously for 2-4 minutes. Or, steep in a cup with freshly boiled water for 5-6 minutes.

Packaging:

Tea bags are made of renewable biopolymer, polylactic acid (PLA) called Bioweb.  They are certified compostable and oil based plastic free. Consumer can responsibly dispose teabags in their local council food bin or organic waste collection which are essentially industrial compost facilities.
Teabags are packed in a recyclable two polyprophylene pouches, each containing 20 teabags

  • If you are returning the item because it is not suitable or you have changed your mind we will refund you, less the courier fee once the item has been returned to our store and our team has confirmed that the item is in a saleable condition
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to package the goods to be returned properly so that they are not damaged in transit
  • If the return is due to misrepresentation on our site or there is a manufacturer issue we will refund you in full as soon as the item is received back at our premises
  • The refund will be done in the form of the original tender of the order
  • Refunds are dealt with on a case-by-case basis and are generally processed within 2-4 working days.
